Gordon Banks’ British national team jersey, autographed

Gordon Banks has been the most famous goalkeeper in the history of British football. He and the British national team won the World Cup in 1966 and, during Mexico 1970, he made history by performing what football historians have defined as “the save of the century”: the UK was playing the quarter final against Brazil and Pelè’s team was dominating the field. After 15 minutes, Cooper’s cross allowed Pelè to try a header: everybody expected a goal, but Gordon Banks miraculously managed to block the ball and was applauded by Pelè himself.
