Garrincha’s Millonarios jersey

His real name was Manoel Francisco Dos Santos, but everybody called him Garrincha.

A creative winger with a stunning dribbling style, he took part, with the Brazilian national team, to three World Cups: Sweden 1958, Chile 1962 and UK 1966. The team won the first two Cups. Many people consider him to be the best Brazilian footballer in history, after Pelè. At the end of his career, he played in the Millonarios, a team made up of former professionals which used to play exhibition games around Brazil. He played almost five hundred matches with this team between 1974 and 1982, together with famous athletes such as Nílton Santos, Bellini, Djalma Santos, Vavá, Rivelino.
